Transfers
Transfer settings
Parallel files, bandwidth limits and verification after transfer.
Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar. Changes apply immediately, including to transfers already running.
Simultaneous files
How many files are copied at once, across all jobs (1 to 16, default 4). More helps with many small files; one or two is kinder to slow or busy servers. Large single files are already fast: SFTP keeps many requests in flight and S3 uploads use parallel parts.
Bandwidth limit
Tick Limit bandwidth and enter a speed in MB/s. The limit is shared by all transfers together, so BlazeSCP stays within it however many jobs are running.
Verify files after transfer
After each file, BlazeSCP checks that the destination has the right size. Where both sides can compute a SHA-256 hash, it compares those too:
| Location | SHA-256 |
|---|---|
| Your computer | Yes |
| SFTP server with shell access | Yes, computed on the server with sha256sum or shasum |
| SFTP-only accounts, FTP, WebDAV, S3 | Size check only |
Hashing on the server means verifying doesn’t download the file again. If a copy doesn’t match, BlazeSCP deletes it and reports the file as failed, so Retry copies it again from the start rather than “resuming” a bad file.
