Connecting
Quick Connect and importing
Connect from a URL without saving, import from ~/.ssh/config, and open sftp:// links.
Quick Connect
Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) or click the lightning button in the sidebar and type an address:
sftp://deploy@example.com:2222/var/www
ftps://files.example.org
https://me@cloud.example.com/remote.php/dav/files/me/
s3://AKIAEXAMPLE@s3.amazonaws.com/my-bucket
user@host
user@host on its own means SFTP. BlazeSCP asks for a password if it needs one; it’s kept in memory only and forgotten when you quit. More options… opens the full form, for keys or S3 secrets.
Quick Connect servers appear under Quick Connect in the sidebar until you quit. To keep one, hover it and click the bookmark: you can name it and choose a group, and the open connection carries on.
Importing from ~/.ssh/config
Click the import button next to + in the sidebar. BlazeSCP lists the Host entries from your SSH config (following Include lines) with their user, port and key, and marks hosts you’ve already saved. Choose which to import and a group to put them in.
- Entries with an
IdentityFileuse that key; others use the SSH agent, likesshdoes. - Wildcard entries such as
Host *are skipped. - Hosts that need
ProxyJumpare flagged: jump hosts aren’t supported yet.
sftp:// links
Once installed, BlazeSCP opens sftp://, ftp:// and ftps:// links from your browser or chat as Quick Connect servers, in a new tab. If BlazeSCP is already running, the link opens in the existing window.
