Amazon S3 and compatibles

AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, MinIO and other S3-compatible storage.

Connecting

Choose Amazon S3 / compatible, then:

  • Endpoint: s3.amazonaws.com for AWS. For other services, their endpoint:

    Service Endpoint
    Cloudflare R2 https://ACCOUNT_ID.r2.cloudflarestorage.com
    Wasabi https://s3.wasabisys.com
    DigitalOcean Spaces https://REGION.digitaloceanspaces.com
    MinIO http://your-server:9000
  • Access key ID and Secret key: from your provider’s console. The secret goes to your keychain.

  • Bucket / path (optional): start inside a bucket, e.g. /my-bucket/images.

Buckets and folders

The top level lists your buckets; each bucket appears as a folder. S3 has no real folders, so BlazeSCP shows key prefixes (images/2024/) as folders, and creating a folder at the top level creates a new bucket.

Buckets in any region work from one account: BlazeSCP finds each bucket’s region and remembers it.

Uploads and downloads

Large files are uploaded in parallel parts (multipart upload); an interrupted upload is cleaned up rather than leaving half an object. Downloads resume from where they stopped. Copies within the same account happen on the server, without downloading.

Select a file and click Share (or right-click → Copy Share Link) to copy a download link that works for 24 hours, without making the bucket or object public.
